Robert Hood w/ Jackmaster, Doctor Jeep and GYS
Minimal techno is possibly one of the most difficult styles in the world to pull off. When your whole game is reducing all your music to the least possible number of elements, that means everything has to sound perfect, and everything has to fit together perfectly as well. Robert Hood is one of the guys that invented it. That means he's really really good. He'll be joined by the always-surprising Jackmaster, which makes for just an awful lot of talent in one room.

Doctor Jeep

Production-wise, Jeep’s music has been described as “a style somewhere between the tropical inclinations of Dutty Artz, the grinding 808 electro of Swamp81, and the breakbeat-heavy sound of 90′s UK rave music.” With several original EPs and remixes on Trouble & Bass, Digital... Read More →

The Gaslamp Killer w/ Natasha Kmeto, Jack Dice, DJ Evaredy
As a founding member of Low End Theory, you expect a certain amount of non-quantized weirdness out of someone like Gaslamp Killer. You might not expect the kind of world-devouring darkness, shattered-reality sampling, and (occasionally) meditative evolutions that he brings to the game, however. He sounds alternately like a hip-hop cyborg crashing through a large window and like an herbal healer.

Noisia with DJ Lenore
We talk a lot about heavy production these days, but few people in the game sound as actually old-school heavy as Noisia. Residing somewhere between old school industrial, post-dubstep, and (with their most recent album, I Am Legion) trap/hip-hop, they've got an aggressive sound that's pretty unlike anything else going. Think Throbbing Gristle, but with a steady beat and more thudding bass.

Cashmere Cat, Jerome LOL, DJ Oneman w/ Durkin
Any way you look at it, this is a pretty exciting show, since it has 3 guys who could easily hold down a room all on their own. Cashmere Cat has been pushing the bounds of R&B inflected bass music with his latest EP, Wedding Bells, resulting in some pretty unexpected stuff. Jerome LOL works in a similar sphere, giving his sound more of a glimmering house/proudly silly feel, and just released his EP, Deleted/Fool. DJ Oneman, meanwhile, is purely a DJ, one who throws around bass, hip-hop and whatever else he feels like with exuberance.
