Jorge was born in 1981 in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic). He grew up surrounded by musicians; his uncle being vocalist in La Familia Andres, and later with Chichi Peralta + Son Familia (both “son” music bands). Since then he has been polishing his skills, and has taken classes at the renowned Dubspot DJ and Production School in New York City. In 2013 he joined Afrobeta Bodega, and started House of Pela with Max Pela (Afrobeta Bodega) and Jay Medina (Afrobeta Bodega/JMVJ). He has played alongside such talented artists as Max Pela, DJ Sabine, Osunlade, Djinji Brown, DJ Bruno, House Head Pete, DJ Cruzz, Jose Marquez, Helen Ting, M Bueno and Barton Nicholls.
